I finally got a price out of Costco for a pair of Michelin Anakees (Costco only sell Michelin) for my 1150GS. For a pair of tyres - not mounted - they quote £170 and would take a couple of days to get them in.

My backstreet tyre supplier, Chaseside Tyre Services in Enfield, quote £190 from stock including fitting to loose wheels, valve, balance and old tyre disposal.

The quickfit multiple, ProTyre, on the A10 at Enfield. quoted £198 all up but don't carry the tyres as a stock item.

I'm not sure that Costco will win this one.

Ouchies.

FWIW Greg, I got a new pair of anakees fitted in Nice last week.......260 euros inc fitting and balancing.........on the spot job.....

Fancy a ride to the south of france???

£174 - not a bad deal, but I'm heading north, not south.

See you over the weekend!

Yo' - Michelin boys - it may interest you to know that the Michelin Rep called on the site at BMF today - they are seeking business with the club at their recommended dealers (wherever they may be) at a discounted price.
I'll be talking with her early this week so - what are they like as a tyre? (Never used em - will be fitting Tourances Tuesday @ £150 all in).
Tell all...

I had a little write up in Ride about the Anakees and bemoaned the price compared to a Tourance, other than that they're a great tyre on my Adv. Jim, if you can get the Michies priced at £150 let me know where.:beerjug:
