What is the general consenses on tyres for the GS I am currently running on battle wings and find them grand but what is the story with the new Tourance? and what is the best way of buying them and having them fitted in the Dublin area.

i replaced old style tourance wit the very same again,the exp's dont get good mileage,siad that,they is suppose to be very grippy,jus like the old style

'Stay away from the EXP' is what I'm hearing. Average life of 2 - 2.5K 
Fine if ya only go out for an hour on dry sunny Sundays, they'll last you a year or two. But if you're doing reasonable milage stick to the originals.
Apart from a brief sojourn with Anakeeseek: I've always run Tourances on the GSs and been very happy with them. I currently have Conti Trail Attacks on but I've only done 1000km on them so it's too early to tell for sure but, having thrown everything at them over the w/e - downpours, dirty roads, gravel, etc, I'm starting to like them.
The best deal I found around the place for Tourances was Celtic Triumph in Naas.

Lads i have just got my second set of exp's on my gs.1st set i got 13000km and most of that was 2 up,battlewings came on the new bike and they fell off before 8000km,EXP's good tyre and plenty of grip.the man to go to is in Tranragee

I went from tourances to battlewings and now I'm back to tourances again. I like them as they have a reliable feel and get reasonable milage. I briefly considered the EXPs but they seem to wear a bit fast.
For reference, the tourances are €275 a pair fitted at Maddocks.

Crossans or Busters. Get them delivered and I have a guy in Celbridge who can fit them if you want details.
Thanks for the input; after much soul searching I decided to take a punt on the Tourance exp and ordered them from Blakestown tyres a little more expensive than getting them from Crossans but as a couple of my buddies have been laid off in the last few weeks i though it better to shop local.
