I thought it might be an idea to start a new thread on this, as there was some confusion if small bikes could enter (& they can).

The UK Bike Rally scene is well documented here http://rallymoto.co.uk/forum.php

I'll be doing a few on the GS (the Big Bike Challenge) and a few on the Husky.

I guess you all know Rallies are a way of getting a taste for competition in great settings, but you only compete against the clock (not other riders) on specific, short sections of the circuit. The rest of the time you are enjoying superb off roading with a bit of navigational skills. Or alternatively just following other people that seem to know what they are doing (that's my plan).

I am booked for the first round on 22 April - BBRC RallyMoto Sprint at Sweet Lamb.

Sweet Lamb is - by all accounts - a fantastic venue in the central Welsh hills where they have a permanent rally facility that's used by the big teams, Top Gear and others for various off road and rally oriented activities.

The regs for big bikes are out now, the rest of you should be able to book in soon (be quick).

I have also gone mad on £24 of accommodation at a pub...

Black Lion Hotel, Llangurig, Powys - 01686 440223 Food till 9pm
Planning to ride down on GS, leaving home about 5pm.

Let me know if you are joining in.

Mike
