Made some big progress trying to sort out the problem with my Lebbenfiddy today (will post on that thread soon) but I'm looking for either a pair of new Fuel injectors (silly money from Motorworks/James Sherlocks etc) or my preferred option, a through cleaning of the pair I have...

I've found THESE guys who will do both for less than the price of a single second hand one, but if anyone knows of a reliable place they've got some done at before, I'd love to know :)

I've been watching You-tube videos of DIY tricks to do them here, but once I've assembled cans of injector cleaner, syringes, battery, on/off switch etc etc, the faff factor probably makes it worth sending them off to be done professionally :)

your bike

i was mulling over the scenario of your bike Bill.
.Ive recently fully rebuilt a 1200 motor which chewed up an exhaust valve.
It bent the conrod.have you checked yours?
Youll have to put summat down the plug hole and accurately measure the distance from the piston crown at tdc to whatever you can measure.
And compare it to the other side...Just a thought.
I wont cause the aggro you have, but will cause a balance , or lumpy problem if one conrod is shorter than the other.
Just a thought.
ps theres a ultrasonic cleaners in sevenoaks kent, i'll found out their number.
or what about taking the injector to a bosch agent and getting them squirt tested.
atb Pauly
or can you find someone who can loan you a couple?

Scriminger offer this service... but as for prices and turnaround - best to email em.

Thanks...added to my list to contact tomorrow :thumb2

I used to have a ultrasonic cleaner, kicking about the loft is that all your looking for ? if it is I'll have a wee look see if it's still there

Thanks for the thought Roddy, but from what I can tell, cleaning is only half the story......it needs to be pulsed through at the same time to get the crap out, the 4 point hole system these Bosch injectors have needs to be piddled around with and the O rings etc all get replaced (i know, theyre only 60p each :blast) and so on :thumb2

Having said that, if you don't want it and it's just taking up space, Let me know how many beer tokens you might want and it could come in handy :)

Perfikk :clap:clap

Just found THESE GUYS (Seton Tuning)

£15 quid per injector, loose, and in Colchester :thumb2

The bike is running well enough to limp it in to them and I can take them off outside....they have a dyno and from looking at their webpage I reckon they ought to be able to do a proper balance after my failure to do so with the home made manometer yesterday :augie

Even if I only start with the injector clean/tune, I can have a look at the setup and see how much a proper session with them would be :clap:clap
