Hi all
On my way home today on my 2008 F800GS I was unable to access any gears beyond 3rd.
1st, 2nd, 3rd and Neutral all very smooth and working normally and there are no horrible noises etc. but I just cannot go any further beyond 3rd gear. The gear lever moves freely but just doesn’t have any positive feel that it is able to locate 4th, 5th or 6th. Sometimes it will select a false neutral beyond 3rd and the gear indicator display disappears but all fine when shifting down to 3rd again.
Bike has been fine and not dropped or anything to cause any damage to the gear selector.
Does anyone have any ideas where to start the diagnosis?
