This is a link to a guy who has made himself an underseat extra tank for the Hp2. Adds almost 8 litres!

I'm possibly interested in getting one made. I dont have a workshop so will try and get a local welder to make it. Would anyone else be interested?

HP2 under seat tank

This looks like a good sollution. My only concern is if the rear wheel travel would be limited with this tank. On my first offroad ride I bent my rear licence plate holder under. I'm 95kg :o The NA plate holder should go for and serious off road riding. I pumped up the suspension a bit more since then :mmmm

I was thinking more along the line of pannier tanks about 8-10Lts each side.I wouldn't be happy with that set up at all under there.Apart from wheel clearance on full bump,1mm steel wouldn't last that long with all the stones and crap hitting it.

I'll see if I can get some pics of some tanks a friend made for Mick Extances Dakar bike.

HP2 Addl Tank

I've seen that bike. The installation is well thought out and nicely accomplished. It required the removal of the charcoal can and I did notice that the rear tire had marked the underside of the tank as a couple of you thought was likely.

I would be delighted to buy one of these tanks for my HP2 if anyone wants to take on the job of fabricating them!
