Unexpected spotlights switch touch

I have a 2015 GS with OEM spotlight switch mounted on the handlebars (same as the GSA). For traveling I am using a Touratech Touring model tankbag.
I have noticed that when the handlebar is turned extremly to the left side (manevering in the parkinglot), the switch touches the tank bag and the spotlights are switched off.

Is there some kind of solution, like a sort of protection?
Like the Wunderlich's horn protection for airhead GS?

Never had that issue with the givi small and large tank bags. It seems that your handlebar may not be adjusted correctly ... or you could try moving the tank bag more towards the rider? Some minor adjustments might solve that issue.

If you keep the switch on all the time, taping a small black bottle cap on top of the switch will do the trick as well.
