My mates System 5 helmet is stuck closed & he cant put it on as a result. He is stuck in the center of Dublin and needs to ride the bike home. Any quick fix ?

No expert help here, I'm afraid.
I'd try to squeeze the chin piece as hard as possible against the main part of the helmet to take pressure off the locking mechanism. Might help
I did see somebody come into Kearys with the same problem about 2 years ago. Can't remember how it was rectified. Sorry.

Without the two removable skirts in place, I could always pull my System IV & V on just like any other full-face lid.
Tell him to pull from the middle of the skirts and they should still pop-free even though the helmet is closed.

yea all manholes etc welded shut/wheelie bins lifted/phone kiosks taped up,for saftey reasons,

I seem to remember my Shuberth C2 did the same thing, there were two small panels in the sides which could be removed allowing access to two allen screws that when removed allowed helmet side of the latch to swing away with the chin piece. It was a while back though Schuberth repaired it FOC
Schuberth make the BM lid I seem to recall so it may be similar

Thanks for all the comments. He was on foot today due to parking restrictions in Dublin. Ill call him and see if its sorted.
