URGENT - London based electrical wizard needed!

My rear light isn't working - the brake light works fine. I've checked and changed the bulb and offered up a replacement light unit - same thing - no light but brake works fine. Presume it is something in the wiring - I've checked the fuses and replaced the only one which was blown (according to the diagram nothing to do with the lights, but changed it anyway) still no joy. Am now at the limits of my electrical knowledge and am travelling to Germany on Friday morning - HELP!! Haven't got time to get it to SPC or Park Lane even if they did have a spot - so can anyone help, does anyone know a mobile elecy type mechanic?

Did you manage to get this sorted if not then I may be able to help you out over the phone a bit am an OK sparky and a qualified mechanic. Not bikes but I keep my own GS and electrics is electrics, complicated to most and logical to me.

Hope it is sorted any way.
