US mapping for 2610

I've tried downloading mapping without any real success.

Can anyone help with getting US mapping for a Garmin 2610 etc. it would need to go onto a CF card.

Nah, don't bother.

When you arrive, go and buy a cheap Garmin Nuvi from Walmart (or somewhere similar). If you can get a mailing address, buy one off ebay beforehand (target price about US$70 (£43)) - resell it on eBay when you get back. Ideal for the US tourist.

If you know which model you'll buy, sort your RAM mount and power lead before you go.

I did think of that but not what I wanted to do.
Looks like a mate is loaning me a Garmin 478 with leads and mount loaded plus full US mapping
