USB Charger

There are many on eBay, I bought one probably five years ago, it’s still going.

No its a clear case for my Hero3+ thats had little or no use since it was new. Must dig it out and do an update if there is one for it. Getting long in the tooth now but it was the top one when new. I wouldnt buy another go pro id be having an DJI OSMO ACTION, far superior and cheaper too .

Or you could trade up your relic and get a 100 quid off a new gopro 7, so cheaper than a Osmo

You have a 1250 yes, then just get the waterproof one from NN it works and stays waterproof when lead is plugged otherwise I would recommend a royal Enfield.

Just ordered it. I can power my Go-Pro directly from a USB charger thats why i need one, then no worrying about batteries going flat. The mount is on its way too.

A heads up from my experience.

1. Assuming it removes the original battery and works in a similar way to the GoPro 6 in the way it processes footage - the recording, processing and saving takes about three seconds before it's on the card. No much use if if you've been involved in an accident and the camera is ripped from the bike - as in my case. The previous 5 minutes or so before the accident would have got me a good test pass. Worth nothing to the police as the final moments were missed!

2. If the 'clear case' is like the one I bought from a company near Basingstoke be prepared to add some silicone sealant to the gland nut - mine leaked, only a small amount but enough to fog up in inside during rain.

3. I now have the one shown by Smogbob. Even though you have to remove the side door the new lead plug and clamp effectively seals the aperture. Never leaked in the time on the bike.

I do however have issues with it running without the battery, it doesn't always run - did on the bike that was written off. Was previously powered by a fuzeblock and ok, now by a Hexezcan and no matter which output I connect it too, it's still intermittent - runs fine from the internal battery. The USB adapter has a red LED that's always on with the ignition. Using the same power lead as on the last bike.

Recommend me a plug in USB Charger for my 1250 ? Not paying nippys price thats for sure. :rob:D

This one, wareproof and has some cleaver features buit in, like power shutdown after a certain time post turning of the ignition, low batery detection etc.

I've used one myself on the GSA and it was the best solution for me after countless other options would rattle them self loose ot the socket. on one occasion ive actually lost one on my way to france somewhere on M3 after it disconnected it self from the bike AND the end of USB cable.
