Used BT home Hub

Can a BT home hub be configured to carry a different ISP, a mate has just been given a new one by BT and I was wondering if I could configure his old one to carry my Tiscali broadband

You need to reload the firmware on the BT home hub, and get a version of the firmware that is a) correct for that particular species of home hub and b) be able to load it into the hub - not always a trivial task.

Given the cost of such things, I would never bother. A new unlocked on is v. cheap.

Agreed. I hacked one for my sister - it's not overly difficult once you know what you're doing but in the grand scheme of things it's probably easier and quicker to just buy one and be done with it.
