Anyone know of a Uvex dealer in Notts area? I want to try on the Enduro helmet but cant seem to find a dealer. :nenau

Thanks in advance.

No tin Notts, but Adventure Bike Warehouse in Manchester on this very forum actually stock them.

Tell em Mungrel sent you

Feck all will happen, but you'll be amused by the verbal abuse :D:D

Im off to Bradford tomorrow so might get chance to pop in there, unless anyone knows anywhere in Bradford.

Well popped along to Adventure Warehouse and tried the Uvex on and its real nice, thanks to Jono.

Now need to persuade the wife to buy it me! :D

So, how about the Uvex Enduro, has anyone here actually got one? Or at least had a good go of one. I will be passing through Manchester in a few weeks time and really fancy a new lid. Was thinking Shoe Raid II but really fancy this instead due to the amounts of times I found myself riding home west into a setting sun and having to shield my view with my left hand:eek:

So I would like to know. What are the like for

Comfort
Noise
Rain

ie, is it ok for a few hours at a time, how noisy is it, and do they leak...

My current Schuberth, is the worst lid I ever bought so no need to tell me you pay for what you get:augie

Hi Richie, missed this, sorry!

I've got both the Uvex lids. Generally tend to wear the enduro for off roading cos I don't want to knacker the carbon one up.

Personally, of the lids I've had, the Uvex are the best ones for me. Comfortable & quiet, as well as light. The best thing to do is try one on, as your head shape might not be suited. If you come over, I haven't got a problem lending you my personal lid or Jono's so you can go for a ride a test one out.

The only difference between the carbon and the enduro is the material. Everything else is the same, although the peak on the carbon is a lot more forgiving in airflow....

Thanks for that Steve, it'll be a couple of weeks before I pass through on my way to Yorkshire,so I will PM you before I come..

XL BTW in Shoei or Schuberth...And I would be inclined to go for the cheaper one of the two.....

Read into that what you will, but basically it's down to my income..

OK, she didnt buy it me but I got enough dollar to go buy one so off to Adventure Warehouse it will be!

Now to decide, white or black? Both will go with a red bike so no worries there!

Chrizm, the regular polycorbonate Uvex helmet fits nowhere near the same as the carbon one... if i am being honest, i recon you should also try on the Airoh S4 if you are only looking to spend that sort of money.

If you're looking for the Carbon one on the other hand, i would still try it compared to the Arai Tour X and Shoei Hornet - although the Uvex is a lot lighter, i still find the comfort of the Arai something hard to beat.

I've just joined this forum, and it's amazing how many people are struggling to find all of the brands they want to find, i work in a bike shop and now i realise we havn't be advertising how we should have... i don't like to advertise the company i work for here - but we do sell Airoh, Uvex, Arai and Shoei helmets so the full range is available to try as well as Rukka products.

You could checkout our website if you wish www.motocentral.co.uk

www.helmetsuperstore.co.uk for a direct link to the helmet website.

Thanks Woody, Ive tried the poly carb one on and am happy with its fit, I do like the Arai but not the Airoh one as much.

The carbon is a nice helmet but again the cost is a bit too much for me.

Just found this thread and wondering if you went with the Uvex or not? I've worn Arai variants, including the Tour X2 for years now but like the look & price of the Uvex Enduro.

So, will I regret it - what d'ya reckon?

BMW / UVEX

The UVEX Enduro ! is it not the rebranded BMW Enduro Lid only without the considerable price difference ?

I only say this as on Thursday I had a peek in Infinity's Farnham, looked at the UVEX Lids inc the lovely all carbon number yum ! the basic lid was under £200 (I think) then went to Barnstormers and took a look at the BMW one, which was on offer for £330 base colours (wave design £350) but a pair of GS summer gloves thrown into the deal for free (£66 for them alone).

So £130 extra, can that be so, is the BMW lid a rebranded UVEX ?
