V85TT buffeting

Holy thread resurrection.
Done 1000 miles so far on my new V85TT Travel, first service yesterday. The bike came with the bigger travel screen and has three height settings, but it is not ideal for me. Adjusting the height seems to make little difference.

I had used a Puig 6319 clip on spoiler on my 2105 Tracer and R1200RS to good effect.

I rode around 100 miles today with the spoiler fitted and it is a big improvement. No help to the looks of the bike but I prefer the lower noise levels.

Picture of the bike with spoiler and some other scenic shots in the Dyfi valley near Cemmaes Road.

I have a similar set up, works fine for me.

Those 'mouse ears' are supposed to work really well according to reports.....

I've heard some riders praising the mouse ears too. But I don't see how they can do much because I've repeatedly placed both hands right where the ears mount and can't feel any difference in wind or buffeting whatsoever?

My mate has this bike, and problem. We just fitted the top half of a fugly Mra vario screen. The one that looks like a ducks bill. My god it’s fugly but it’s easily removed and installed when needed. And the pressure behind the screen has been reduced. He’s very happy indeed.

My solution is a “Palmer Products” screen bracket and a Biondi small screen, and some ear things in the tank cut-outs. Lots amoother air flow - similar to my almost naked Griso, and I would say a bit less noisy too. A bit more airy though as wind hits me mid-chest.

Not the prettiest thing….

But this is nice

And these aren’t too bad

They're actually built into the Euro5+ V85's at the factory.
