Checked the Funduro's valve clearance last night. Very strange thing came up. 3 of the 4 valves are within tolerance 0.10 and 0.15. But for the inlet right side valve I can't get even a 0.05 in. The bike has done 19000 miles and is a 1994 model. I've had it since 2003 (8000 miles) and it is perfect. Never gave me a problem. I change the oil and filters every 3500 miles and it pulls very good. I think this is the first time the engin has been opened.
Wouldn't a gap of 0.05 have damaged the valves and could the valve clearance decrease over years? he valves and could the valve clearance will decrease over years?
