vario pannier swap

hi looking for a bit of advise does any one know if the Vario panniers from a 1200gs can be made to fit an 800gs.

i have just bought some ally panniers for my GSA and would like to fit my old varios on to my wife's GS 800 is there a BMW fitting kit that would make this work

Looking at THIS it doesn't look like it.

I am assured however that the vario top box plate is the same on both bikes.

There won't be a BMW kit, but Holan sell fittings to do that.

You will end up with something extremely wide, though.

In which case, I'd agree with your first post. The fittings for Varios on the 1200 are completely different from those on the 800.
