Vario panniers mods

Has anyone fitted d rings to the vario panniers for extra storage on top of them if so how easy was it and can u post some pictures of the mods ..

I put some touratech loops on them. The first was a real bitch when I took the pannier apart and had to sync the gears to put it back together. The second I did only taking out the "strap" that holds the lock components in.

Be home next week if you want photos.

Worked fine with 6-8kgs in dry bags but I think they need a brace. And the heat shield on lhs looks like it's busted. The panniers are at least 11 years old though on their second bike.

I use a compression strap through the handle and grab handle.

It isn't that substantial but it worked ok. It also meant not having to separate the panniers. Here's that in use. Those Domo bags worked well too.
