Vario Top Box Key Code

Hiya's
Have just picked up a secondhand Vario top box and will need to sort the coding for the bike key to match the box
Anyone know how to go about this ??????

You'll need to get the lock out.....

Easy if you bring it in and put it on the table... have a look at the mechanism as you turn the key, you will see a leaf turning with the barrel. This is what holds the barrel in place ...you need to use a sharp knife or really thin screwdriver to push that in as you turn the lock in the casing, then pull out the lock and the key.....

Then swap the leaves to make the new key fit .......

I've seen it done, fiddly but not too difficult.

Use the search facility as there's an easy to follow guide on this site (a sticky)

Or you can pop into a BMW bike dealer, sometimes charge to do it but mine didn't.
