Is the mounting plate on the 800GS for the Varios a standard fitting? i.e. do all Vario top boxes fit onto it?

Is the mounting plate on the 800GS for the Varios a standard fitting? i.e. do all Vario top boxes fit onto it?

I am fortunate to own both a 2011 r1200gs and a 2013 f800gs. Both have the specific model vario topbox and mounting plate. The boxes are interchangeable and fit the other model's mounting plate.
