My Schubert C3 (XS) fits in my Vario topbox when expanded as does my Arai RX7 Corsair (Small). Enough room left to squeeze waterproofs around the helmet. Handy hint is to put some tape over the bolt head at the rear of the base (inside vario) to stop it scratching the helmet. DAMHIK!

Schuberth s1 fots one way only with room around each side,expanded box by the way!!

A medium Schuberth S1 Pro helmet does not fit but will fit in the RHS pannier like many others here. However that kinda defeats the object as i don't always want to have the panniers on when commuting !!

Now remind me why did i sell my Kappa K52 !! oh yes the vanity of having a set of BMW luggage !!

Shoei XR1000 (large) fits, although with scala on the side it needs to be oriented correctly.

My BMW System 5 (large size) JUST about fitted but whatever helmet you have it is still a pretty crap top box. Very heavy, even when empty, small capacity compared with outer dimensions because the expanding mechanism takes too much space, expanding jams. Apart from that it's great.

Now changed to GSA and although top box is smaller it takes any of may helmets.

I am still undecided as to keep my V46 Givi but I like the look of the Vario. My helmet is a medium size Shoei Raid 2.

I have the vario on my 650 twin, system 6 just about fits and my Arai Condor does as well. As mentioned above you have to be carefull not to scratch the helmet due to the mechanism for expanding.

I'm debating wether to offload Vario and get the Givi that takes 2 helmets instead. Not looked into how uch the Givi/fixing plate is compared to what i'd get for the Vario

I have a Shoei Raid 2 large size and it doesn't fit but my wife's small size Arai Astro lite fits fine.
