Sick of struggling to strap the tent on so modded mine, not sure of the looks but it's growing on me and costs alot less than loosing the tent off the back

Yep and I'd trust a couple of bits of plastic with self tappers , know exactly which ones you mean and the word sh*te springs to mind.

Burpster used bars designed for it from Louis a german shop selling motorcycle parts, all metal and you could quite easily strap the kitchen sink to it with confidence
