And another thing... apart from the inferior security.... my mate Greg had so many different bags on his GS that he couldn't remember which bag held what.... couldn't remember which his wallet was in at one stage... but it WAS his round, so maybe that was just a ploy!!!!!

You know you're only jealous Greg... get a set of Vern's (and a tin of Mandarin paint) and then you'll have a proper GS...

I await your reply citing the benefits of the 'sports gearbox' ect!!!

I can't argue about security. If I was headed through Africa, I'd have Vern's; no debate.

As for not being able to find anything, especially wallet, that's bollox. However, if I'd taken a couple of weeks to pack, like Will, rather than get home from work late the night before and leave first thing in the morning, I might have found things faster!

As for looks, they don't come any better than this:

Where's me pic gone?

You load your bike up like that, and I'll load mine up like Wills, then we'll park them in an african dock and go and have a beer, and see whats left when we get back?

Don't be surprised that both bikes would be "disappeared" rendering your highly secure panniers as a nice modern furniture fitting in downtown Mombassa. But i get your drift, just offering a bit of lateral thinking -
