very quick 1200 BMW pannier question!

Cant find any pics which show it clearly, but with the BMW panniers on a 1200, is the top of the panniers level with the seat of the flat platform under the seat?

not entirely sure what you mean by there is an additional top plate that the box attaches to making the mounting plate huger then the rear seat. The back of the bike frame is level but the bmw box won't fit straight onto this.

yes, from what I can remeber, although I never rode without the pillion seat.

From the picture I've got the top of the pannier is in line with the flat plate.

Just tried mine on the bike...the panniers are level with the top of the base plate (not the middle of the base plate, the side).

With the rear seat and rack removed the panniers are flush with the rear of the bike.
