VIDEO CAMERA SOFTWARE?

HI all,

I have a Panasonic video camera, quite new, small jobbie, and i have downloaded the video footage onto the PC. That was the easy bit!

I want to put the footage onto a DVD now. I realise i am going to need some software to convert the video into a format i can burn onto a DVD but thats about it!!!!

Any advice on software needed/tips/do's/dont's etc would be welcomed.

My PC is running Windows XP PRO.

Windows Movie Maker. Probably already on the PC and quite easy to use

Loads of software out there but all have pros and cons. Some of them unstable and all very system hungry and be prepared for lots of frustration trying to achieve what you want. Top tip - keep em short and simple, use simple fade in/out some background mp3 and some basic titles. Is your Video camera a hard drive model? if so be prepared for limited software availability. I am currently playing with Sony Vegas and Cyberlink Powerdirector Good luck!
