Video for A&D showing the local roads

Nice video and snapshot of where you test ride. Thank you.

You make a very good point about test rides of 30 minutes. Living in central London, borrowing a bike for 30 minutes is akin to wasting one’s time. Luckily enough, BMW Park Lane allow me one for all day and Bacon (Kawasaki / Royal Enfield) the same. It has to be all day but with it comes some advantages:

1. Test in very possibly heavy traffic, at least from Park Lane eastwards to the City of London airport or A13.

2. A stretch of motorway, either M25 or M11 or both.

3. Some A roads, A12 / A13 / A1.

4. Light town work in Chelmsford, Saffron Walden, Newmarket.

5. Cross country B roads, near enough to Cambridge, via Essex and Suffolk.

A very good mixture of roads, if you have the time and the inclination.

Failing that, a swift blast (or wobble) up Park Lane or down the A12…. I am sure it’s good enough for some.

PS I always return the bike with a full tank.

Fixed it for you Richard.

BMW Park Lane have let me run-in a couple of their bikes for them.
One assumes you are a valued repeat customer.

Back when I worked in London it would often take me an hour just to get south of the river and into Wandsworth for the onward battle up west hill towards Steptoes gaff.

No wonder you enjoy foreign jaunts on open roads so much.
