Folks,

what do you folks recommend to join two avi files ? preferably free as I will not need to do it that often.

MS Movie maker does what it says on the box, and its free

had a look at the microsoft websites and find no obvious way to dowload it, it just mentions it's an update with SP2 but I'm running SP3 on the laptop ? and it's not on the system

is there an easier way ?

VirtualDUB is very quick and easy to use, and free.

As long as the clips are the same frame rate etc.

Oh ya cheeky bugger yir time will come ,

I did try that I'm not a total numpty but i did forget about download.com

in the end I found Easy Video Joiner, that did the job
