Viewing images

Any ideas why I can't view images that are posted on this and other forums ?
Same problem on my desktop PM, whether I use IE or Firefox. If there's an image on a post, usually I just see a box which say the image name and size but the image does not open up. Occasionally I can view the images OK , especially when the file size is small ??

any help appreciated !

PS it's just my desktop (has zone alarm) - my laptop works fine.

First of all (and this is unlikely as your profile is saved server side so it should be the same on both machines) check in your profile in user CP ...there's an option to 'not show pictures and attachments'

Then empty your cache...I bet it'll be that.

THanks Fanum, I've check my CP and images are enabled, also cleared my cache but I've still got the problem.
Strangely it only seems to be the bigger images that don't open, smaller images of say 75K open up OK.
It's not just on this forum either, but it is only on this PC
