Took some Photos whilst on break in my lorry this week, in Newport and one from the A4059 looking down on the Cantref Reservoir, isn't Wales Superb? I may even dig out some more scenic shots and put them on here also.

That's about 2 minutes from my house, The Dragon has a medallion on his chest GLD Goldie Looking Dragon

There are loads of them around the city and the survivors are being auctioned off. Unfortunatly a few have been slain by the less intelligent of our city

-Why is there a dragon in the Welsh flag? :nenau To scare visitors from England? ;)
I know I have read a theory about it, but I can not remember.

:) Liv.

It goes back a long way.

But now modern Dragon's come in all shapes and sizes though generally bigger all round than in the past.:D

I've always felt that the Welsh dragon should be placed in the centre of the cross on the union flag within a white and green circle. Then at least the flag would be representive of the four countries of Great Britain :nenau

A trip up Mynydd y Gaer near Pencoed earlier this year.

I went alone and got stuck:blast

HaHa:D I ride my mountain bike past those 2 dragons every day on the way home from work...dressed in lycra:eek

Well I did before some f*kwit on a mini motorbike hit me on the canal towpath and broke my hand:mad:

The best view in Newport well worth risk:D

ps it's just Ridgeway not 'the' Ridgeway, you gotta know these things if your going to be one of the regulars:D

I was told there's no mention of Wales on the union flag due to it being a conquered nation......Conquers are banned now so maybe a Leek or Dragon might appear in the future.....

I have wondered why the colors of Wales is not in the union flag too.
