I know King Edward was an english king who did a lot of fighting with the welsh, and built a lot of castles there to control them, but did we not end up with welsh kings as the I believe the Tudors were welsh. Can anyone confirm that once the Tudor kings took over england, english and welsh laws were combined and england and wales were amalgamated into one political entity. Whether the welsh were conquered or not, it all seems a bit irrelevent these days, considering that over the last few hundred years we've all intermarried and live on one fairly small island and share so much history.
