Hi all, New to all this so thought I'd do as advised by the web site an pen an introduction.

So!, bought the bike in 2006 with all good intentions then the company decided in their wizdom to send me to work in the Netherlands, so, use of the old girl has been limited.

Had a good look around the web site to see what's happening nationally and locally, all looks like a lot of fun.

Got a few questions and would very much appreciate any information that can be forwarded.

Are there any regular meets, ride out's, trips, East Anglian summer events planned that perhaps I've missed on the web that would be a good opportunity to meet like minded poeple?.

Any general information about what's happening in East Anglia (Suffolk in particular) would be a great help.

Managed to convince the bosses that I need a couple of weeks off in August (weeks commencing 18th & 25th), not sure which way I'll be heading but if you know of any events that fit with the dates and would be a good introduction to the GS fraternity (better known as Tossers:confused: it would seem?) I thank you in advance.

Thanks for taking the time to read this:thumb2, particular:bow thanks if you've replied.

Thanks Dave, hope to meet you on the road some time, I'll remember that you were the 1st to reply, nice to be welcomed. Thanks,Gunny

Not seen much of any rideouts going into the suffolk area from here,

but i do visit other sites and we often have runs into east anglia, and surrounding areas,

Will put a post up when others are happening.

go out in suffolk

No chance never see any tosser out, If there was a meeting in suffolk it would be just by chance.I only see a few bms on the road ,most gs have their twat suits so are they going on an adventure or just tosser? Ps welcome

Rideouts

Hi Gunny
The local group on the other GS site occasionally organise rideouts, pub meets and off road sessions but mostly around the Thetford area, you need to join the group though:-
see here

http://gsclubuk.org/forum/

There are/or used to be. rideouts from the Regal Cinema in Stowmarket on Sunday mornings (the Regal Riders?), not GSers though.

Alternatively, if you're into advanced training etc the local IAM group called Suffolk Advanced Motorcyclists (SAMs) have runs etc 2 or 3 times a month but you need to join and take the IAM training & test. They meet just norh of Ipswich, and about a third of them ride GS's, see here:

Finally I think that Cannon's also occasionally organise rideouts.
Cheers

Hi Gunny,

I should be off to the East Midlands bash in September.

I didn't go last year, but after chatting to Bryn, it sounds as if this year should be good - it's also for charity, so worth making the effort:thumb

Also I'm planning to do the East Coast Challenge on August 3rd - should be a good day out and i'm looking forward to seing the countryside on my doorstep.
For info on this look a few posts below.

Hope to see you out and about some day:thumb2
