Hi all im looking at buying a gs adv, and wondered about a couple of things ?
1,which is best on fuel, gs or gsa ?
2,Tobinators ? what are they ?
3,low 1st gear or standard ?

Thanks in advance
Nathan

Welcome

1. Very Similar MPG but GSA has bigger tank, so greater range but more weight when full

2. Tobinator's are a system of add on brackets that provide much more adjustment for the standard screen, so give better options for controlling wind buffet over your helmet

3. I don't have the low gear but wish I did as it would be very useful around traffic (I do commute on my GS) - of course it is intended more for off road

I suspect a few other opinions will be posted shortly - suggest get back to back test rides on both models and then if you like both, and can afford both get the GSA

If you can afford the extra dosh, go for the GSA with all the toys (comfort & dynamic pack):bow. Or you could consider the GS SE, its like a GSA but with a smaller tank.

... low 1st gear or standard ?
Just a quick tip for you, but if you come across a bike and you're unsure whether it's got the standard or "enduro" first gear, ring the registration number through to a BMW dealer and their computers should be able to tell you. :thumb2
