I've been saying for years that cars need HUD technology. It's not difficult, it's not new technology (been in aircraft for years) and with the systems on modern cars it's far more desirable than having to hunt around to see what the xxx is doing.

I have noticed a couple of cars are starting to fit them now (mostly high end ones like Mercs and BMWs) so I guess in a few more years that will filter down, but it's a slow process.
