I saw one somewhere, that is Bluetooth powered(if I remember right?), tiny box with a pos and neg wire that you attach straight to the battery, and then theres an app for your phone, you can monitor the battery then as much as you like, I could swear I saw it on ebay, but iv got a feelin I saw it advertised in a magazine possibly, nice & simple solution either way, also looking at the link you've posted, you can also get them as a 12v cigarette plug in, like a cigarette USB plug if that makes sense, but with a screen on similar to your link if that makes sense.

If you have an LC model you don't need one. There is a voltage rating on the computer .

You should be able to just wire it into any switched live so long as it doesn't mess with the can bus so in that case an accessory socket would be the best wires to intercept. It will give you a charging status whenever the engine is running and the system voltage when the ignition is on.
If your bike is canbus then if you cut into any other wire you may find that you get bizarre warnings on the dash so search out the accessory socket wires. Could wire direct to battery but would need switch to power it off or it will kill battery when no ignition on and display your dying voltage constantly.

Thanks for reply's. Ghost rider I have the blue tooth version on my car and great. Its not so much where or how to wire it but the actual location I'm after. Its to large for the plastic side panels under instruments so was just looking for ideas, inspiration. Thanks

I made an aluminium surround for the top of the gauges and painted it satin black . The cheap voltmeter ( a couple of pounds from China) a switch to switch it off if it proved too bright at night. ( it wasn`t). Been on a few years now.
The little red light in the lower corner is the end of an optic fiber the other end covering the colour change led on the Innovv C3 camera recorder under the seat.
