Vulcan due over East Fortune tomorrow

Cool I will be there anyway. Used to love seeing the Vulcan when I was a kid at the air shows. Never managed to see it since it was back in the air. Last chance now.

Unfortunately this I believe is the last opportunity to see it flying - ever!:(:(

It is still flying for the rest of this season. It will be at Prestwick on 5 and 6 September if all goes to plan. Remember that this flypast is part of a tour of a number of sites in the UK that day and East Fortune is only about 1 hour into the tour so it may be heavy on fuel and restricted to a more sedate flypast rather than a full on display. Still worth seeing. http://www.scottishairshow.com

I went to Throckmorton (I'd never heard of it either!) Airshow a couple of weeks ago just to see the Vulcan after more than probably 25 years and it was great. It will be over Shuttleworth soon too so I'll pop down there as well. They should consider spending a fraction of the £7B they plan to squander on the House of Commons on keeping it flying. A static plane is a dead plane.

Short but sweet and very, very loud..............We were right underneath it in a field gateway on the wee road between Markle and the level crossing............Came in from the east then turned south and did a full climb and turn to the east right above us before doing another circuit flying back over us and climbing away to the south over Pencraig!

What a racket and what a sight, damn near shat myself!:thumb2

FP.

Fl ew over Chipping in East Lancs today just before 3 pm clearly on closed throttle, just so elegant. ,must cost a fortune to fuel just this short trip.
