Have you looked at the Seat Mii and Skoda City go?
Just bought a high up white with pan sunroof, it’s great fun, three cylinder engines takes some getting used to but enjoying it.

We've got an Up! - I swapped out a mk5 golf gti to buy a car for the kids to learn to drive. Still not sure that was a great decision - but the Up! itself is lovely
2 things to look for
1. Rust anywhere near the petrol filler - dig around underneath
2. The rear brakes will bind on - live with it
excellent wee car, lots of room, i think they go v.well despite just 60bhp
