Operation Wallacea is a long standing global research and Conservation organisation, that my daughter and two of her friends are hoping to take part in this summer. They need to raise funds in order to do so. This is not a holiday they will do field research, sleep in tents and get bitten!!

I am proposing to lead a rideout on backroads from Orwell or Lowestoft to our house where the students will serve you a Full English Breakfast with toast and tea or coffee. The students can give you full details of where they are going and what stage the research is at.

We will then continue the ride with another run of backroads and an optional 3- 4 miles of light off road, the road runs alongside this so those who wish to miss this section can meet us futher along.

Proposed donation £10 including Full breakfast £5 for just run with Tea or coffee when we stop.
Would you post a reply or PM if you would be interested, along with any dates you could make.
Nick

Go on then. Sounds good. Put Madame and I down.

Dates unknown - set one and we'll be there if free, if not you can have a tenner anyway.

but can we have something meat free:hide

Anything with breakfast involved sounds promising, and if Madame badger is going to be there all the better.:augie I will be up for this if the date suits, and maybe Mrs Monty too. I can ask a few extra folk to come along and support this as well.

Cheers,

Monty

I would suggest setting a date for this and then see what the interest is. Cook breakfast and they will come... :thumb

Date now set 11th April

Thanks for the feedback, as requested I have now set a date for this, full details below.

Sunday 11th April meet 9am for 9.30am start.
(The first part of the ride will only take 20 minutes to get us to our breakfast stop.)

Meet at the Shell garage on the left heading towards Lowestoft on the A12 just after the roundabout junction with the B1079 and the start of a short dual carriageway, this is usually the cheapest quality fuel in the area so please have full tanks, hot drinks are available. (if you are coming from Lowestoft and would prefer to meet at the breakfast stop please PM me for details, if you are running late and want to join us here please phone us on 01728 602129

Full English Breakfast,(or vegetarian alternative) and toast or just tea and coffee and the ride if you prefer, please PM me for any variations with the Vegetarian breakfast. (If possible could you let us know what you require)
The second part of the rideout will be on some of the best backroads you will find anywhere with some very picturesque villages and a stately home to break it up. We will then run along the coast with the short light off-road section(this can be avoided) before we finish at a cafe.
I hope to make this a fun day for all that can be shortened or lengthened depending on the weather.
Nick

I'll be there, and maybe the management if her ninja 6 is allowed....

Where you finishing in Low-stuff? Might I humbly propose London Road Inc as they have a cafe and parking (not to mention a workshop if you're on a "classic" bike).....:D

At the moment that weekend is clear, so hope to be there with Sarah. Will confirm in the next few days once the duty list has been published. :thumb

Mr Argee seems intent on dragging us to London Road Inc so it would be rude not to. :augie

It is getting a bit obvious isn't it?

I have no financial affiliation with the place other than having found Wayne and Amanda the owners to be decent sorts.

Confession time: me and the significant other are now friends with the aforementioned Wayne and Amanda, originally as a result of being thoroughly satisfied customers.

Plus I seem to virtually live there, along with several biking buddies met in the cafe there! :D

Leiston added

Thanks argee Leiston now added to the first section of the ride.

All bikes welcome so please bring the management on her Ninja 6

Happy to finish in Lowestoft PM sent

Who`s coming

Planned and Rode the new route to go for a coffee in the London road motorcycle shop in Lowestoft, its worked out well, I am sure you will enjoy it.

But who`s coming beside argee and Monty?

Nick

What a shame you've had to cancel... :(

Please do reorganise as Mr Badger and me will tag along if the date suits...sadly your last date was already "booked" to some non-riding friends for lunch
