You're wasting your time, it's impossible. I'll take it off your hands for a small fee. :D

Okay I'm joking, as long as the headlamp dips the right way, which it should as they drive on the left to, and the speedo is in mph or you can put stickers on to convert it the rest of it is as per a UK MOT. Try your local VOSA depot for advice. They used to be called the vehicle inspectorate and govern all MOT garages.

Cheers,Hops

I'll be off to VOSA in the mornin if it can't be done then thy kingdom come and i'll bear your offer in mind............

On the off chance that you might one day need new front forks, I have a number of Paioli forks with the yolks to (I believe) fit the 250 and fork legs to fit the 125.
All are new and boxed.
I think I have 5 sets and would sell the whole lot for £500.
I took these in lou of a bad debt.
Mike.

Re the Xr as it is over 10 years old and an enduro bike it is SVA exempt. It does not require indicators fitted and will only need mph stickers. As long as you have import docs and a dating certificate you should be able to get it registered easy enough. All you need is an mot and go to your local vehicle licensing office with this , your insurance and all other docs, fill in a registration form and they will tax it for you there and then , you will be issued with a vrm and a registration doc will be sent out fom the dvla. You will need the import docs because in the last year or so there has been clamp down on stolen vehicles coming in from japan and all are checked via interpol.

Cheers Neil,
I bought the bike from a dealer down south no import docs with the bike but he did say he'd send me on an tax / invoice number, is this common????
Or have i been had over, what happens if i turn up without an import doc????

How do i go about getting a dating certificate???????????????
Do i have to contact Honda UK direct??????
Is there a web site that deals with this kind of thing?????
Can't wait to get it road legal........
Cheers Bish :thumb

Easiest way to get a dating certificate is from Honda Uk but they will charge the earth (last one I got was £25 about ten years ago) better option is get in touch with the honda owners club they will have an expert able to issue a dating certificate which is recognised by the dvla. I would contact your local licensing office and they will tell you exactly what they require. Only problem that may raise its head is if Customs and Excise query whether import duties have been paid

My Import was dated through an independant dating company (not sure who but i can have a look if you need the details), It's a certifcate with the make, model, VIN on it and the date of maufacture and stamped approved.
