Has anyone got a rear subframe suitable for an R60/6 deep in the bowels of one of your garages?

A dear friend has a break behind the rear shock of his.

Thanks Buc..:thumby:

If it’s the same as the later bikes I’ll prob have a few.
I’ll take a look tomorrow

Thanks Mike, he’s bought the bike from an American dealer, and the bike has just arrived at Barrow-in-Furnace, and he’s arranging transport.

He’s quite a clever man with bikes (unlike me) the dealer was upfront about the damage, he’s done some welding in the past, but appreciates, thin wall tube welding is for a professional; but personally I think I’d replace it :okay

Can he not fit a solid slug in the tube and then weld it?..... or will the 2 -arts not separate enough to get a slug in there?

It depends where the break is and Remember this is an Older bike they had metal in their frames before the designers started shaving weight

Possibly better to wait and see what is actually the damage and if it is bad

unbolt it take it to a pro and get it blasted an painted after ???

Thanks all for your indulgence fellas; this will no doubt be added to all his other projects he has on the go.

But, as this is an Airhead, I won’t let him forget this one, I’ll make sure he brings it back to the life it deserves. :thumby:

As Mikeyboy can't supply, I have one or 2 you can choose from. I'll post pictures 'in due course' or you can PM me your email address (easier).
