Wanted: Surrey tea stop. Elstead, Tilford area

Hi - afraid there is a distinct lack of cafes at all, let alone biker friendly ones! I live in Farnham just along the road and the only one I know of, apart from pubs that do coffee etc, is the National Trust cafe at Hindhead, overlooking the Devils Punchbowl. If you're planning on going offroad on a GS & want some company let me know :)

Don't they try to extract some money for parking there even on a bike? Oy vay!

Thanks

Thanks for info
Devil Punchbowl cafe is National Trust - I can check with them re. admission and parking. (pay for parking? Ha! no chance)
Winkworth Arboretum is another Nat Trust possibility

No off-roading planned - I need a rendezvous point for a road trip to the Talmag Trial at Hungry Hill on Sunday.

Between Dorking and Guildford on the A25

There is a carpark on top of a hill with a cafe on the left hand side after Abinger Hammer. Someone else may know the name.

Talmag cancelled

Talmag trial cancelled- the army needed the land and wouldn't budge.

So, no trip to Aldershot and no tea and scones in leafy Surrey. At least, not this weekend

Although the talmag is cancelled, the REME are having a hare ,n hounds enduro a little further down the road on Saturday at Weavers Down just outside Longmoor Camp off A3... quite entertaining to watch. and their is a tea and butty wagon there.
