The O ring on the oil filler cap (Top of the left cylinder) has developed a small split on my GSA. Not all the way through either but man, the oil leak is monumental. I have oil running down the cylinder, it has coated the exhaust and passenger footpeg. Replacement seal is 66 Cents. Will post a photo tomorrow.

Just a heads up but I would not have expected such a leak from such a small seal.

jnr,

I have a friend who was just as surprised at the effect this can have, until I pointed out that these engines are not like 4cyl ones. The crankcase volume on a 4cyl stays roughly constant as the cylinders reciprocate (2 glasses of red wine and all the big words start to come out of my fingers) opposite each other - one going up as the other goes down. On the boxer, they both go in/out at the same time so the crankcase volume changes by 1130cc every stroke. You get quite a lot of pressure there so the oil is forced out.
