Warranty card....receive one?

Not strictly 12 but posted here as more newer owners may see. If you picked up a bike in05 did you get some kind of credit card with a warranty number etc or just a letter?
Thought Id ask here before I bother with yet another 'I didnt recieve.....'phone call

I took delivery of mine just before Christmas 04 and was told that it would be posted out to me. A later enquiry elicited the response that they'd stopped doing cards for BMW Assist.

No need I suppose if you store the number in a mobile and the VINs on the bike and they know the reg. Would be nice tho to tuck in the wallet.

I received a BMW ES card with my Nov '04 bike..........with my surname spelled wrong.
When I rang for a replacement BMW customer service person said the card was being redesigned..................?..and I would be sent a new one in due time..........

Got my card yesterday. Bike collected 010305.

The postie delivered a shiny silver envelope which contained a shiny black presentation box which contained (anyone bored yet ? ) my card. a little bottle of helmet cleaner, a little bottle of anti-mist, a natty snap- together keyring thingamybob & a questionaire about my purchasing 'experience' and my socio-economic grouping ( whaa ?? )

Only problem is the card has a picture of the new RT - in RED !!

What the hells wrong with putting a Yellow/Silver/Black GS on it - its the BEST ( even tho' it might not be the fastest - in my hands anyway )

At least yours has a bike on it. Mine came with some cage on the front!!

To add insult to injury the 'Your delivery experience' question asks "Between placing your order and receiving delivery of your car..."... So needless to say I didn't rate that question too highly. Just as well the dealer did better than the department that sent out the questionnaire.

Meanwhile, I await the silver card - delivery date was 10/3/05...
