As title says been on club run today of all days stopped at cafe for a coffee went to restart coughed and stalled 09 GSA , this problem has started since having a pc5 fitted to bike ,has this before after washing so after disconnecting the joints and shaking them dry off to go again the answer I'm after is what can I use to seal these joints from water ingress ,the water seems to be tracking down cables any info would be appreciated .

OE BMW wiring does not suffer from this, so why would anyone put aftermarket crap on their bike which gave such problems?

I would be punting the problem back to the manufacturers of the pc5 and asking them for a satisfactory solution.

The connectors on those tuning boxes aren't watertight are they, especially the one beneath the TPS on the left side throttle body connector (DAMHIK).

Perhaps some silicone sealant might work around the cables where they enter the connector blocks?

Get some self amalgamating tape (Maplins or elsewhere). This stuff will allow you to tightly wrap and waterproof each joint.:thumb

Tape? Pah! I speeeet on your tape, senior gringo.

You need Deutsch connectors. Not cheap and you will need a special crimping tool but they WILL NOT leak.

All sorted pulled rubber boots back and filled rear of connectors with electrical grease , removed the insulation tape that still had water behind it and replaced with self amalgamating tape full length off the cable , washed bike no more problems :D
Still it is not very good that a problem like this to happen for a simple fix , thanks all for your input .
