Does anyone know of a case that will fit a Garmin Nuvi 760 in that will allow me to use it on my bike. I already have all the fittings for a 2610 including the ram mount (1 inch ball) and handlebar clamp. Needs to be waterproof any suggestions. I havent done a search for anything as I dont really know how to title it, so heres hoping someone might be able to help me even if its a secondhand item they might just happen to have laying around. Hope somebody can help as the screen on the 2610 is not the easiest to read .....:eek.

Ta very much

Type "waterproof GPS case" into ebay and take your pick from several, all at under £20.00.

I use an Akron waterproof case with my Nuvi 765T, works well.

One downside is that you do get a bit of misting on the inside of the 'window' in damp weather as the GPS runs quite warm in there. I tried putting a little bag of silica gel desicant inside but that didn't really help, more recently I started applying a little washing up liquid polished into the inside surface of the window if the weather looked iffy, that seemed to work a little better.

Fit is almost spot on, the case might be a little deeper that needed but with the car cradle (with the sucker bit un-clipped) I cut one of the foam packing pieces that came with the case so that this locates securely yet leaves space for power and audio cables behind the GPS.

Powering the GPS was done via via one of these but I cut off the big lump, all it had was an led inside. The 7xx series run of 12v and I've had no issues doing this over 2 years.

Mine's married to RAM gear left over from my StreetPilot 2720 so much the same as you. The Akron case comes complete with a 1" RAM ball so a perfect match.

Have done plenty of ride-outs and one 2k+ tour in Europe with this set-up and it works very well.

Well. I have just ordered a case so I can use my tried and trusted Nuvi760, so theres no need for the Garmin any more, Not that I understand the fecking thing, so if anyone wants one then please feel free to ask me and Im sure we can sort something out.
