Just to let you know in the new Ride magazine we have got "Best Buy" and also "Recommend" over all of the systems tested. These are on our new 2008-09 systems so the test speaks many words and we are all over the moon and looking forward to releasing the systems at the NEC bike show.

So this goes to show we are yet to be beaten in any review or test for well over 14 years now, jobs a good one :clap

As far as I know the mag is in the shops as from tomorrow :thumb2

Nice one! Im looking forward to getting mine once i figure out what the hell im spose to be doing!! Im getting there due to your help and others but im still flumoxed!!

Here's a question for you - my bike has had some kind of comms system in the past as there are wires cable tied up to the handlebars and wire's under the seat - all looks well done. If i were to post a couple of pics of these area's doya reckon you could tell me whats been there before, what the wires are for and whether it'l make my life easier when i get the 300 kit or harder.

Plllllleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaasssseeeee!!

Hey Rich,

Congratulations on that.

I know previously that you couldn't mention anything about the new products but now the reviews are being issued tomorrow in Ride, are their any links on the net for the 2008/09 models? Would be good to read up about them.

cheers

Nick

Sounds like its party time at Autocom HQ!

Look forward to reading the review and trying (maybe buying!) at the NEC show.

Cheers,

Mike

No worries mate, get your piccies sorted and lets get the ball rolling :thumb

Here we go Rich,

So there's 3 wires up near the clocks - two with a headphone type end and one as you can hopefully see that has some weird push-in-block-connection-thing (im sure there's a proper techie name for it!)

Then down under the seat, in the little cubby hole there are two wires again - both again like the headphone type and then there is the red and black wire which is coming from somewhere else and has some kind of white clip / connection on the end of it - bit hard to see here as its against the fairing in the pic.

Thanks for your anticipated help!

Dave

Looks like the bike has had a Garmin Zumo fitted at some point then from the wires up on the dash. The leads should run to a splitter/isolation box which from the looks of it is not there.

The lead is one of our power leads that from the looks of it has the live and earth taken from the bikes auxiliary powetr socket.

Hi Rich,

I've read the reviews in Ride, pretty much confirmed what we know already here in the collective!

One thing I wasnt sure of though - were the units they were reviewing your new digital systems? I wasnt sure as the pictures look the same, but the prices are at your full retail rather than the current half price..?

Cheers,

Mike

Hi Mike,

My bad bigtime i thought they were due to be testing our new systems and to my horror when I found out they are our current Easi and Active I felt so proper small for giving you guys the wrong info.

For the prices the test was sorted out a bit before the sale was running and there are few other mistakes on their side like the cost of the BT dongle and power lead for the Easi. But thats a small price to pay for when we got the two highest scores out of all of the test, and it also goes to show you all why we are not running BT systems or headsets.

Rich,

What the difference between these new ones and the kit 300/200 that you current sell?

Oh right - I thought the info was to be released in line with the Ride mag. Not to worry. I'll stick with the 300 for now.

Rich

So should i have all this wiring ripped out before i even start installing the 300 kit?

If you are not gonig to be running a Zumo I would take all of the wires off to tidy up the bike, the only lead you would run is the power lead coming from the back of the aux power socket.
