This may seem a strange tread but here goes anyway.

Thereare a lot of well travelled Tossers on this site who hold a lot weather information and experience.
I am not a seasoned traveller as i have only had my GS for a year now but wondered if anyone could help people like myself who are trying to plan trips.
Im not sure how to go about this request but an idea would be to produce a 'rough guide to weather / temps in different areas in Europe at various times.
This may allow travellers to take the right gear with them ( air flow or warm stuff) and also to get the best times to travel dependant on your riding preferences to get the best weather.
This may be a big ask but i think a reference would help in planning for 'rookis'

Await help or piss take or take a look here !!!

I use:

http://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=Pau, France&wuSelect=WEATHER

http://www.france24.com/en/weather

But, the TdF had sunny clear weather going up the Col du Tourmalet etc on Tuesday and yesterday it was foggy and cold.

Thanks for the reply - i also use those site just prior to a trip. The rough guide ,if we could do one ,would give view of general temps etc over a year so people could plan in advance to the areas they wish to travel.

ie - Begining of july Millau region Hot ( just got back 40 degs +) think that was a one off though as the norm is around 30 ish.
Mid France Potiers begining of July pleasant to hot etc etc 20 to 25 degs
St Malo area begining of july Pleaseant to reasonable hot etc
These temps etc from my recent trip.

Happy Days:nenau

Its only an idea but think it would help newbies to travel.

You mean like my mum used to when I was off to infants school, is it going to be hot, cold, wet, dry?....oh the dilema of what to wear:confused:
:comfort

Yes i suppose so but you as a moderator and an obvious seasoned TOSSER ,advice for new people to the world of travelling would be useful as some of us have limited time to travel and any advice or a guide would be good to make sure your trip is thes best you can make it.
Maybe some folks like to keep it to themselves or sit on the fence spouting.:jager
