Can anyone recommend me a (free) form builder I can use to create a contact form for a website? I'd like the generated email to go direct to an email box not through a 3rd party.

I only dabble so needs to be reasonably straight forward to use / install.

Thanks

How is the site constructed?

If it's plain HTML there are some good ones around......I'd have to dig up some old stuff to find what I used to use, but if you've used Wordpress or Drupal or something, there are many really good and totally idiot proof plugins freely available :thumb2

Give THIS a try.......it seems to generate some sensible code that you can customise and integrate :thumb2

The copies of the HTML based sites I did are all on old Hard drives that are stashed away, but this looks very similar to what I used.

Fanum, thanks - it generates the form nicely but I'm not seeing how to make the email deliver - what have I overlooked?
Just established my ISP doesn't allow me to use PHP - Bugger

Thanks.

Apologies in advance, as you've said you didn't really want to use a third party, but if scripting's out then you could try 123contactform.com (I've no affiliation with them, other than use the service.)

I use them for a couple of websites (personal and business) and the free version is all you need if you just want forms/info forwarded to (any) email address. They haven't spammed me with loads of junk, or tried to get me to upgrade the free accounts to paid ones, so it is hassle free.

I've run serveral php/js scripts that did the same thing in the past, but I have to say 3rd takes all the leg work out. (Tho if you're just playing then I guess it does defeat the object somewhat.) Pretty customisable, with tags and required info etc. which you can use to process the emails if required.

All good stuff. If that's out then I might have some javascript versions knocking about that you could have, but they're not a particularly secure way of sending personal info. Can you run Python or ASP on your server? :thumb

Thanks all - I can't see a viable secure solution at the moment so I may have to loose some beer vouchers and change to a new host.

Thanks for your input.
