can anyone help diagnose the weird throttle response i am getting, it feels a bit snatchy- I have only got 13k on the clock, so hopefully its nothing major?!
It doesn't feel as it did, It feels like it needs more warming up or something? Not a smooth delivery- what can i check to sort this out? looking forward to your responses- regards Jon

have you checked that the clutch is not being hampered and the lever is out fully..............no smell of burning clutch..........or is the brake lever gettin caught..........cos on the 1200gs the handguards can move so that the levers are not fully extented...................only a thought...........

I have checked this- its more of a starnge resistance in the gearing/throttle response- I have had the hand guards syndrome though before- this is different but thank you janie

It's not the throttle grip rubbing against one end or the other? (doesn't sound like from your sparse description.. but still....)

I know that it can happen with the 1200's heated grips, warm-up can create a little drag... easy to notice as the throttle doesn't roll itself off, needs to be rolled off with muscle... makes shifting "wierd"...

Check that the throttle cable ends are correctly sitting in their little receptacles.

Sounds like yet another "they all do that sir"

My 1150 has developed this problem with heated grips turned on, any quick fix ?
Tempting providence I know but-----------thats the only problem I have/had on a 02 plate bike, I'll sit back now a wait for the lighting strike.

You just need to work the throttle rubber away from both ends... When the heaters are on, they expand, sometimes (as in your case) against one end or the other... and bind...
