Welder around Cambridge/ East Anglia ?

(I've posted this in GS Mods as well)
Having found that my Remus was too close to pannier frames on my 1150 GSA,(metal TT ones), it looks like I might be needing services of a friendly/local welder to maybe alter near side pannier frame, and to adjust my Y piece to move the Remus over towards the wheel ( ie away from pannier frame).
So, long shot, but anybody have any experience of a possible welder type person around East Anglia/Cambridge are please ?
Any help appreciated.

I've had some welding work done at Cambridge Motorcycles (Cheddars Lane, just off Newmarket Rd by the big Tesco) and they did a good job at a fair price.

The other thing you could try is TJ from Balderston BMW in Lincoln Rd Peterborough who I sold my old welder to he does odd jobs from time to time.

You shouldn't need to do that with a Remus can you get away with some spacers? maybe check everything is mounted on the right side (if you see what I mean) - I'm happy to give it a look over/second opinion if you'd like before you go spending money...

I know - Remus should be fine, but it's way too close to my new ARD cases on TT frames. Redcap shoved an extra couple of washer on, which did work for a short while. I made up a small 25mm approx spacer on the frame/silencer securing bolt, but that just twists the silencer over, and is again too close.
I think what has happened is that, as a couple of Tossers here have posted, that the Remus Y pieces are of varying "build" quality , and exit angle on some is not to tolerance ie wrong !
So, I'm going the stubby route ( free cat I'm being given, and £17 for the stubbby, so not too expensive so far.

If the stubby & cat work well enough, then I might well try and get hold of a tatty TT nearside pannier frame, and get it welded so's it sits closer to the bike frame ( ie where silencer used to be), and then be able to have a slightly bigger near-side pannier !

No rush for any of this, and all depends on getting an old or tatty frame to get modified. In the meantime, I'll surely check out Cambs Bike Breakers ( I know them slightly ), and I do know TJ -took an 800GS for a test ride from them recently, but that's another story !!!

Thanks for ideas, and I might well take you up on offer of an "inspection" -be good to meet up anyhow - I now know a few GSers around this area, so it's very good to have local help and pool info.
