Evening all.

I fancy having a go a welding, tried mig welding at a previous place off work for about 15 mins a few years ago.

I have a degree in engineering but no practical experience with welding and fancy making my own brackets and stuff in the garage.

So does anyone know of anywhere doing beginner courses? I'm in Warrington but happy to travel within reason. Must be evening/weekend.

Cheers

There is usually a bearded American who has set up cameras in his worshop and does a excellent tutorial.... You tube, learn anything to any level.

I was thinking along the lines of a 4 week intro course or something similar to that (the Mrs just done one for flower arranging...) I'm not aiming for a qualification just the knowledge.

If normal courses are longer then that's fine. Seen some 15 weeks, some 30. About 100 quid, seems very reasonable.

I'm usually all for that, have done with learning drums, bass and guitar! However I'd like to learn using kit that I can trust is safe and set up how it should be. Once I have the basics I will just practice myself.
