Is anyone from here going to the Bikesafe launch at Abergavenny Bus Station this sunday? Even if you don't go on the Police assessed ride, there is a pretty good carnival atmosphere at the bus station. :thumb2

I am aiming to get there, but its a Grand Slam decider on Saturday. The plan though is to keep it sensible on match day, so that I'm safe enough to ride on the Sunday - now where have I heard that before? :o

When have you ever been safe:D

Head permitting I'll be there.:beerjug:

What time does it start or what time are you aiming to get there?

Looked on the Bikesafe web-site but there doesn't appear to be any reference to this weekend's event.

I'll speak to Taff this afternoon and if I'm capable of typing a message tonight I'll post it.

However after the last match I was incapable of removing my shoe's, much to the amusment of Mrs W :D

Couldn't make this event due to unforeseen effects of alcohol.

i had seen the alcahol but his brother snuck up on me!!!

it would have been inppropriate turning up to a bunch of coppers nursing a hangover and having a blood alcahol level bad enuf to stun a moose.:blast

Three happy Taffies

I went to the event, but in all honesty this years turnout was not good. In fact when I got there, there were more coppers than bikers. :o In fairness there was a chap on a 1200 GS Adventure on an assessed ride, but I didn't get a chance to speak to him.

Sadly I think that the combined effect of the poor weather forecast and the nationwide Grand Slam hangover took their toll. Believe it or not, I didn't get a drop of rain all day.

Paul, I'm surprised that you haven't posted the photos of the girl with the big .... kazoo yet. :D

I was at this event. On foot, with one of the residents from work. He, a 12 year old lad, enjoyed himself.

As PWC says. Very few bikes there. We arrived about 11am and met the Mayor of Abergavenny & the leader of Monmouthshire Council. The lad was verey impressed with their bling.

Interesting to see several long in the tooth ST1100 Pans but no newer ones. A couple of newish BMWs and loads of silver Yamaha FJRs in police livery. Apparently Gwent Police have just placed a big order with Yamaha after trialling the bike for some time.
